Sunday Recap 8-30-09

WOW! That’s all I can say about today’s worship gatherings @ The Ridge! If you were’nt there, then you totally missed it. Nothing will be able to help you understand what this experience was like. Today was one of those days that I think we will look back on and see it as a catalytic moment. I believe that this series we just finished will be seen as the beginning of something new and amazing. I honestly believe that a page was turned this month and in particular today @ The Ridge.

Today we ended our DRIVE series on Lordship and stood in awe of the Lord as we worshipped through music, prayer, scripture and communion. The focal point was Romans 12:1-2 and I think it wrapped our series well as we prayerfully look at what Lordship means…what worship is…who the Lord is and wants to be in our lives.

Jerry and the Creative Arts team did a phenomenal job today. The service was planned out perfectly and flowed beautifully. The tone of praise and worship was powerful. Starting acoustic, then God even had His say in the second hour as we were singing, “Holy, Holy Holy, is the Lord God Almighty who was and is and is to come…” during the last song and the thunder rolled outside! It was awesome!

I even had one couple walk in for the second gathering saying how someone saw them in the parking lot and told them how awesome the sorship gathering was today. That’s cool!

It will be some time before I get over this day. I pray that I never get over the awesomeness of God and the wonder of His sovereign grace and mercy! He truly IS LORD of all. May I allow Him to be Lord of ALL of my life!

    That’s what I’m talkin’ about!!

It truly was an amazing experience at The Ridge today! The one day my parents didn’t show up, either… MAN, they missed an awesome service. When Jerry mentioned ‘being in awe of God’ and the thunder just BOOMED outside, wow… you don’t get much better then that.

Makes us really see who is the Lord of our lives, and who’s really in control, and how amazing it is that he loves us.

Great, GREAT day today – one that won’t be forgotten.
