Sunday Wrap Up 11-16-08

It was good to be back today after being out last week. Thanks to Wendell for filling in last Sunday.

  • Attendance was down a bit, must be the cold, winter-came-early morning. Giving was steady, however.
  • Shared an amazing, miraculous story about an event that happened in Burkina Faso this past week. God did a miraculous, catalytic thing that will impact generations, I believe. I’ll post the full story and pics later this week.
  • We talked about the Challenge Of The Warrior from Psalm 127:4-5 as part of our UFC: Ultimate Family Challenge series. The challenge is that we must not just point our kids in the right direction and hope they turn out right, but prepare them so that that they would fly straight and true and make an impact when they reach their destination “just like arrows in the hands of a warrior.”
  • I’m filling in teaching the high school group tonight. Looking forward to it.
  • We finish the UFC series next Sunday, then we will have a special vision message about God’s work in Burkina on Thanksgiving weekend, along with baptism and familiy dedications. Ridgers, you won’t want to miss that Sunday!
  • December 7th, we will kick off our Christmas series that I am really looking forward to: “It’s All About The PRESENCE
  • Lots to do this week to catch up from being gone. Not looking forward to that! 🙂
