Down From The Mountain…Or Back From The Lake?

Our staff just returned from a brief retreat. We had the opportunity to get away and spend some time planning and praying for a couple of days. A family graciously offered their lake house on Lake Eufaula for us to use. It was a great setting because we had no internet access and no cell phone service. Sounds crazy in today’s culture, but it wound up being just what we needed for a couple of days.

It was good to be able to talk through some upcoming challenges as well as dreaming and visioneering for what God has on the horizon.  I am pumped about what we sense God has planned! It is going to be exciting to see what God does and His role for us in His plans in the coming months!  We will be sharing some specifics at our worship gathering on July 8th, so don’t miss it!

Impacting another generation by changing people’s perspective” is not just a catchy phrase, but it is what we are called to do.  People need a fresh perspective on the church, God, themselves and others. Jesus was all about changing perspectives…and He still is today! We want to be about touching unchurched, disconnected people with a fresh perspective. If we can do that, then as God works in their hearts and they connect with Him and His church and develop as Christ-followers…another generation will ultimately be impacted. These people will in turn become those perspective changers for others in their home first, then in their workplace, school, community and ultimately the world! YOU are called to do that too! We as the church…the body of Jesus Christ…need to take seriously our mandate and never cease to look for opportunities to change people’s perspective and expand God’s Kingdom, by simply doing what we know to do and leaving the results up to God.  It’s awesome to be a part of something bigger than me!
